HATHA Yoga at STUDIO 2 INSIDE OLD SCHOOL SQUARE UPSTAIRS - April Klimkiewicz
Hatha Yoga is a combination of the Sanscrit words Ha and Tha meaning Sun and Moon. Just as the sun and moon are bodies that balance our days, April strives to combine asanas that stretch and then contract, fold and unfold - promoting strength, flexibility and relaxation - bringing balance to the body, mind, and spirit. This Hatha Yoga class will focus on the spine (neck, shoulders, back) and isometric strengthening. April cues for all levels in each class. If you are a beginner, you will be guided exactly where to put hands and feet, as well as what you will be stretching and feeling. If you are an advanced practitioner, you will be invited to follow cues to deepen your poses (asanas) and your practice. The class is full of thoughtful asanas and ends in guided breathing (pranayama) and a brief meditation.

All Levels Sivananda Hatha Yoga The Sivananda Yoga practice is a classical Hatha Yoga class that helps encourage proper breathing, flexibility, strength and vitality in the body while calming the mind. This class includes pranayama (breathing exercises), warm-ups including Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar), specific asanas (yoga poses) with beginner, intermediate and advanced variations and ends with deep relaxation. This yoga practice is for all levels. This class follows a sequence of asanas (poses) designed to open the energy channels of the body while increasing flexibility of the spine, strengthening bones and stimulating the circulatory and immune systems. The asanas follow an exact order that allows for the systematic movement of every major part of the body in a balanced way that enhances prana (life force energy).
